A commercial flop but lyrically supreme with the message of a Hip Hop prophet and legend seeming through each spiritually laced track. The message is clear throughout Nas expresses his views on life as a Black male in American culture, as a Hip Hop legend and life growing up with his conflicts that he faced throughout his childhood. Producers who grace the album include The Alchemist, L.E.S. and Rockwilder to name a few. Perhaps due to in commercial hip hop terms the question of Who produced the beats comes before who is spittin could suggest why this urban classic did not do as well as it should have. Saying this it is an album of unreleased bootlegs, B-sides and underground jewels so perhaps this causes people to shy away from buying the album. This is the sort of album in which you can listen to it all the way through and never skip a track.
Highlights:
Doo Rags...Lyrically amazing this is why he is who he is…You may have heard Game on this beat in a mixtape on a song called 3 Killas.
My Way…Produced by Alchemist...Soulful sound suiting to Nas perfectly.
Blaze A 50...Got a flavour of story telling involved.

Everybody’s Crazy...Flow on fire…Beat is different to all the other beats.
Black Zombie...Expressing his views of how “they” view the black public of America.
Poppa Was A Playa...2 tracks track but worth the listen...Telling a story of his childhood circling his Father...Then his birth on the bonus track very descriptive.
