Rhymefest opens up the album by just spitting more than 3 minutes over a Just Blaze beat. This gets the album off to a good start. 4.5/5
2. Go Out Clothes
As the title suggests, this song is a club song. With the Chicago trademark of braggadocio lyrics, he still shines with the lyrics over a lackluster beat which resembles The Game’s “Put You on the Game” beat. 3/5
3. Chicago Rillas f/ Mikkey and Bump J
This is one of the most lyrical tracks on the album. Rhymefest lets two more Chicago natives get a chance to shine and they don’t disappoint. 5/5
“I make green like blue and yellow” –Bump J
4. Brand New f/ Kanye West
The lead single off the album features none other than Kanye West. He leads the song off with a solid verse but Rhymefest easily steals the show with lines like “excuse me I’m whack-tose intolerant” and “besides yo breast is augmented, I like things authentic, look at all my whips they all vintage.” 4/5
5. Get Down
This basically is a song about trying to get down with some women. There’s nothing too complex about it but he does have some decent lines in it. 3.5/5
6. Feva
This beat, produced by Chicago producer No I.D., is one of the best beats on the album. This is definitely one of the shining moments if the album. Rhymefest flows nicely on the beat. 4.5/5
7. Allido
This is basically a song about his life and where he from. Good beat and lyrics. You can never go wrong spitting about your life. 4.5/5
8. All Girls Cheat f/ Mario
By the title, you can tell what the song is about. He explaining how you shouldn’t think women won’t cheat on you because they will. 4/5
9. More f/ Kanye West
This song features Kanye West on a surprisingly addictive hook. ‘Fest kills the track talking about how he struggling and other rappers is struggling even though they front like they not. 5/5
10. Drifter f/ Mikkey
This beat sounds like something on a church song with the organs but that adds to the feel of the song. It’s basically a song with ‘Fest and Mikkey repenting. 4.5/5
11. These Days
This is one of the best tracks on the album. I don’t really like the beat but his lyrics improve the beat. The second verse should be a hip-hop quotable. He even dissed Eminem’s Encore album. Many would say he crazy for dissing Eminem but ‘Fest has beaten Eminem in a battle. 4.5/5
“I feel like Puff Daddy lied cuz I ain’t vote and I ain’t die”
“I kinda like Eminem he be funny at dissing, I bought his album it’s a one-time listen”
“I wanna take a white girl give her a black girl mask, but if I get a dark Italian girl it just might pass”
“I wish I wasn’t good at rhyming cuz then my dumb ass would go diamond” (50 diss? j/k or not)
12. Devil’s Pie
This is a remake of D’Angelo’s “Devil’s Pie.” It still features him on the hook. Good lyrics by ‘Fest. Basically about making money which is what Devil’s Pie is. 4.5/5
13. Build Me Up f/ ODB
This has to be one of the most abstract-sounding songs I’ve ever heard. It features ODB on the hook and is basically about ‘Fest asking ODB for advice on getting a girl. 4.5/5
14. LSD f/ Carl Thomas
This basically a song about Chicago, hence the title (LSD stands for Lake Shore Drive, which is a highway in Chicago). 5/5
15. Tell A Story
Rhymefest definitely shows how he can tackle any subject. Displaying his story-telling skills, ‘Fest shows he definitely is one of the best in the game right now. 4.5/5
Overall, this was a very solid debut. It has its own sound to it which is what you might expect since he’s from Chicago and Chicago’s music has many different sounds. He also doesn’t look outside his city for help in the guest features department. I give this album a 4.5/5"
