Anyway, "The Instrumental" is one of the best songs ever made. The message in that song is ridiculous, and so is the rock style sample. The commercial heads wouldn't feel it though, b'cuz he's basically speaking on commercial radio.[/I]"

Intro- As far as intros go, this is actually one of the better ones youll hear. I think the spoken word is done by that artist that did the last track on The Roots Things Fall Apart. 8/10 2. Real- Could have started out the album better, but this track is alright, stop and go flow used by Lu. 7/10 3. Just Might Be OK- Great chorus, Lupe comes with the lyrics on this one, sort of a feel good track. 8/10 4. Kick, Push- Errbody heard this already, but it is easily one of the best hiphop tracks of the last 5 years. Classic!!! 10/10 5. I Gotcha- The beat actually tops Lupe's lyrics. Feels sort of out of place on the album, but it is catchy. 9/10 6. The Instrumental- Rock styled beat by Mike Shinoda, again feels out of place, but its good if your in the mood for it. 7/10 7. He Say She Say- One of my favorite tracks right now, Lupe talks about his father not being there for him. Immaculate lyrics. 10/10 8. Sunshine- Great chorus, beat sounds like it was done by the Neptunes. Talking about a female, extremely catchy. 9/10 9. Daydreaming ft. Jill Scott- The Jill Scott chorus has an old school 1940's feel to it, as Lupe talks about whatever is on his mind. 9/10 10. The Cool- One of the weaker beats and it is also Kanye's only track! Lupe spits ill, but the Kanye beat leaves something to be desired. 7/10 11. Hurt Me Soul- A very personal song, talking about what he doesnt like about hiphop music. 9/10 12. Pressure ft. Jay-Z- Crazy dope lyrics by Lupe, feels like when Jay and Big traded verses on Reasonable Doubt. That being said, Jay doesnt come nearly as nice as Lupe and it hurts the track. 8/10 13. American Terrorist- Horrible beat, even tho Lupe is on point the whole time just not a good beat. 7/10 14. The Emperors Soundtrack- The lyrics and the beat compliment each other extremely well. 9/10 15. Kick Push 2- Not as good as the original, but still a good way to end the album. 8/10 Bonus Tracks- Tilted is Lupe's version of a club banger and he pulls it off nicely. Carrera Lu has an old school beat. What It Do has a great beat and even better lyrics. 9/10 Overall the album to me is up there for best album of the year along with OutKast's Idlewild and The Roots Game Theory. Not the classic that everyone says it is, but this kid Lupe has a future in hiphop and will eventually drop that perfect album."
