Thats funny....becuase your assuming that riding the beat beat ONLY hitting the snares....which it doesn't. That is ONE way, and the most common, to ride a beat....but it's like learning to dribble, after you know how to dribble regular you can learn more sophisticated methods to the same motive....Their are many aspects to every beat; Baseline, the snare, various instruments...Anyway, ANYONE could simply hit the snare everytime....that ain't hard....but part of developing your own is to learn how to throw your self into the beat and be comfortable....
